Josh Bernoff, Vice President, Principal Analyst, Forrester Research, got OMMA Social in New York this morning by striking an ironic note.
“I think it's a little bit of an irony, that I
get to stand up here and give you a one way conversation about social media,†he said, going on to ask how many people in the room at the Yale Club believe social media is a bubble.
Only two people raised their hands. That said, Bernoff showed a list of major social media companies â€" companies like Facebook, Myspace, Digg.com, twitter, Del.icio.us, youTube, Ning.com
â€" and noted that none of them are making much money, if at all.
