Duran Duran Taps PopJax For Casual Game To Mark Euro Tour

  • July 2, 2008
Duran Duran has tapped PopJax to launch a trio of video-based casual games in honor of the seminal rock band's 24-date Red Carpet Massacre tour in Europe.

The San Francisco-based casual gaming company has pulled together vintage concert footage, music videos and band trivia questions to create a set of games that fans can find on Duran Duran's Web sites, the band's dedicated PopJax page, as well as through a Facebook app. And players can compete to win prizes like autographed guitars and band memorabilia.

"As a band we are always looking for different ways to expose our music and to give something back to our fans," said Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon. "When we started out MTV provided that opportunity. Now it's about the Internet and how we communicate with our fans--both new and old--online, in a totally different way."
