Strike.TV, conceived during the Writers Guild of America strike last December, has launched with more than a dozen original pieces from well-known writers, directors and actors including The Daily
Show's Rob Kutner (writer) and Aasif Mandvi (actor), actor Bob Newhart and Writer/Director Steven E. de Souza (Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, Beverly Hills Cop 2, Commando).
The Web site, http://www.strike.tv, will donate the first three months of advertising revenue from projects to the Entertainment Assistance Program of The Actors Fund, which assists film and
television crew members affected by the work stoppage.
Strike.TV continues to incubate projects, offering creators and participants creative freedom, retainership of material and help in
monetizing and distributing work across the Web.
