Wunderman Picks Up Russian Digital Shop

  • August 1, 2008
WPP's Wunderman has snapped up Actis Systems, a Moscow-based digital shop that has developed campaigns for clients including Microsoft, MTV and VimpelCom. It's the third overseas agency that Wunderman has picked up this year, having acquired China-based AGENDA in January, and Kassius, out of Paris, in June.

Actis Systems specializes in interactive strategy and design, as well as content development and management. The agency will be integrated with Wunderman's existing Russian operations (which are led by Yuri Pashin, chairman and CEO of Young & Rubicam Brands, Russia & CIS), but will still keep its name. CEO Edward Grinbukh and managing director Anya Sverdlov will continue to lead the Actis team while working closely with Pashin.

"By our joining the Wunderman network and the WPP family, our clients gain access overnight to world-class analytics, creativity and customer dialogues, giving Actis Systems the most comprehensive, first-rate offering in Russia and the region," Grinbukh said.--Tameka Kee
