ESPN And MediaFLO Offer Mobile NASCAR Coverage

ESPN and MediaFLO USA, Qualcomm's mobile broadcast arm, have announced an agreement to a series of NASCAR races in August on the sports network's mobile TV service. ESPN Mobile will show live race coverage of the NASCAR Nationwide Series as well as six Sprint Cup Series races between Aug. 5 and Aug. 31.

MediaFLO's broadcast technology is available through AT&T's Mobile TV with FLO service and Verizon Wireless' V Cast offering. ESPN and MediaFlo teamed up last month to provide X Games coverage to mobile customers. Other MediaFLO partners include CBS, Fox, NBC, Comedy Central and MTV.--Mark Walsh
