AnnTaylor Stores, which has been struggling to reverse deep sales declines, has named Christine M. Beauchamp president, replacing Adrienne Lazarus, who is leaving.

Beauchamp has been a strategic consultant since earlier this year; before that, she had been president and CEO of Limited Brands' Victoria's Secret Beauty. She reports to Kay Krill, the company's president and CEO.

In its most recent quarterly results, Ann Taylor reported a sales gain of 2% to $591.7 million, driven by growth in its Loft, factory and Internet divisions. Comparable-store sales at its Ann Taylor division, however, fell 11.5%.--Sarah Mahoney
