Samsung Taps David Steel To Head Marketing Unit

He becomes SVP of North American Headquarters (NAHQ) marketing and will be responsible for corporate planning, marketing management and market intelligence, reporting directly to S.W. Hong, executive vice president of NAHQ Strategic Marketing.

Steel comes to NAHQ after 10 years at Samsung Electronics in Korea. He started in Samsung's Global Strategy Group, where he worked on strategic projects for a number of subsidiary companies under the Samsung Group umbrella.

From 2002 until 2007, he served as vice president and head of marketing for the Digital Media Business. In 2007, he moved to the Mobile Communications Division, where he was head of marketing strategy.--Nina M. Lentini
