News Corp.'s Fox International Channels (FIC) has launched Biensimple.com, a Spanish-language, wiki-based property aimed at helping users find solutions to everyday problems. Biensimple, which loosely
translates to "well simple," offers tips on topics ranging from health, beauty and relationships to technology, cars and the environment.
The site is designed for easy searching
and includes hints and advice from users (via message boards, blogs and individual posts) as well as industry experts such as physicians and chefs. There are also step-by-step video tutorials and
resources including a recipe catalog, and users are invited to contribute as much to Biensimple as possible.
According to Hector Costa, SVP and managing director, .FOX Networks Americas (a unit
of FIC), the combination makes Biensimple.com ripe for targeted advertising. "Biensimple's content has a natural affinity with U.S. Hispanics' inclination towards finding their own solutions to
everyday problems," Costa said. "This in turn creates the perfect environment where advertisers can reach the rapidly growing online U.S. Hispanic audience."--Tameka Kee
