Major League Gaming (MLG) has named Harlan Stone president of MLG Properties, the professional gaming league's sales and sponsorship division. Stone will lead the sales and sponsorship efforts for MLG's live competitions, broadband network and its roster of Web sites.

Stone joins MLG from Velocity Sports & Entertainment, where he most recently served as principal. During his six-year stint, he managed the sports and event marketing agency's relationships with brands and venues like Cirque du Soleil and Madison Square Garden. He also held leadership roles at McCann-Erickson's Momentum Worldwide and Advantage International (now Octagon).--Tameka Kee
