PALEY are the newest members of The American Advertising Federation Advertising Hall of Fame, the industry's greatest honor for lifetime achievement in advertising. Brack is former chairman & CEO, Time Inc. Georgescu is former chairman & CEO, Young and Rubicam. Martin serves as Director of Marketing Support at Warner Lambert. Paley is former Chairman of the Board at CBS Inc.

PAULA SURRATT has been named Media Director at The Townsend Agency, Southern California's public relations and advertising firm. Most recently are her contributions at McCann-Erickson SF where she assisted in launching Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows Millennium.

WALTER ANNASOHN, PubliGroupe's Sr. VP for its international sales network has become Real Media's new President and CEO replacing CHRIS NEIMETH, who leaves the company to pursue other interests. Real Media founder DAVE MORGAN will continue as the company's co-Chairman.

JAMES L. HEDGES has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the ABC Television Network, effective immediately. Mr. Hedges had been Senior Vice President, Finance and Planning, for the ABC Entertainment Television Group since November 1999.

AVE BUTENSKY, longtime president of the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB), has joined the Board of Advisors of eMadison, it was announced today by eMadison CEO Vishal Bhagwati. Butensky was president of the TVB from 1992 through 1999. In January 2000 he became a consultant to the TVB.

PATRICK MAES and CAROL ELLERBROCK have new positions at dick clark communications, inc. Maes is the newest member DCC's Business Development division. Prior to joining DCC, Maes worked for Phase2Media, Landon Media Group and ABC Television. Ellerbrock has been named Sales Coordinator, she previously served as Executive Secretary to the President of dick clark restaurants, inc.

LAWRENCE GALLO has been named Chairman and CEO for IJC Ventures. Gallo announced the change of the company name from IJC Ventures to Uncommon Media Group, Inc. Additionally, MITCHELL SANDLER has been named VP/Director.

CARA DAVID has been promoted to Corporate Sales and Marketing Director at American Express Publishing. Previously, she served as Publisher of Modern Bride magazine and Director of Advertising Sales at Saveur.

GARY HOLLAND has been named Publisher and VP of Advertising at Barron's, the Dow Jones business and financial weekly. Holland has served as the magazine's Advertising Sales Director. Also at Barron’s, DONALD BLACK has been named VP for Marketing. Black most recently served as Marketing Communications Director at the publication.

PETER J. SCANLON has been named Sr. VP of Sales Analysis and Planning at Univision Communications. Scanlon most recently served as VP of Primetime Sales Proposals at ABC Television Network.

JAMES MURDOCH'S and GRAHAM KRAEHE have been named to News Corp's board of directors. Murdoch is an Executive VP at News Corp. and the Chairman and Chief Executive of the company's STAR TV Asian satellite operation. Kraehe is CEO of Southcorp Limited in Australia.

JOYCE M. CUSACK has been named Executive VP and COO for CPO, Inc., a direct response media planning and buying firm. Most recently Cusack, served as president and CEO of HFMA Learning Solutions.

WILLIAM FORMECA and RANDY BIXLER have new positions at Initiative Media North America's Western region. Formeca has been named Director of Western region client services. He most recently served as Sr. VP and Group Account Director at Initiative in Los Angeles. Bixler, Sr. VP and General Manager of Initiative in San Diego, has been promoted to Director of Western region client services.
