GSD&M Idea City innovatively wove ad creative for the launch of BMW's 1 Series family around the editorial pages of a variety
of magazines, including Dwell, Interview, GQ and AutoWeek. Among the executions: fake white-washed duplicate covers; copy and pictures set around page numbers; small ad units on
consecutive pages that told a continuing story, providing a visual example of the experience of driving the car by showing the progression of the driver. All were customized solutions accomplished by
a strong collaboration between agency departments and print partners.
