MySpace To Integrate Google's Gears

MySpace plans to integrate Google's Gears into its platform, according to co-founder Chris DeWolfe, who revealed the plans during an interview at the TechCrunch50 event in San Francisco with co-host Mike Arrington.

Users will be able to access their profiles offline using the Google Gears APIs, but the feature will not be available for a few months.

Gears--formerly Google Gears--is software offered by Google that "enables more powerful web applications, by adding new features to your web browser," according to Google. Gears is free and open source software.--Tanya Irwin
