Yahoo Buzz, the Web portal's social news site, is now available to mobile users through a new widget that lets people see the top "buzzed" stories in the last 12 hours.

By clicking on stories, users will then be able to see a summary and image, and from there can go to the publishers' site to see the full story. iPhone users will also be able to call up their favorite stories at a site tailored to the popular Apple device.

The new Yahoo Buzz widget is available via the Yahoo Go suite of mobile applications. Recently, Yahoo opened up its Digg-like service to all Web publishers from blogs to top news sites to contribute links after initially limiting the pool of content providers to about 400 sites.--Mark Walsh
