I'm addicted to [Amy Corr's] weekly Out to Launch emails. They are fantastic!

Briefly, I wanted to send feedback on the new Xbox 360 spots. They are indeed creepy -- lobotomy is a fair description. I was reminded of some arcane 18th-century philosopher, Julien Offray de La Mettrie, who wrote a treatise, "Man a Machine," describing how man is a complex machine. Don't ask me why I know this, but the Xbox ads evoke La Mettrie's words: "Man is so complicated a machine that it is impossible to get a clear idea of the machine beforehand, and hence impossible to define it."
