Wal-Mart is the second annual recipient of "The Crown Award" for responsibility in advertising, presented by Hallmark Channel and the Parents Television Council.
The retailer was
presented with the award because the company has committed to a policy of sponsoring only family-friendly programming through its advertising.
Hallmark Channel and the PTC partnered to create the
award in 2007. It is bestowed annually to an advertiser that exhibits leadership, integrity and responsible corporate citizenship.--Nina M. Lentini
