Several top U.S. publishers have joined the Nokia Media Network, a premium mobile ad network with the potential to reach millions of consumers.
Fox News, the A&E Network, the Bio
Channel, the History Channel and the Hollywood Reporter are the latest additions to the network. They join publishers including Reuters, CNET, Agence-France Press, Unidad Editorial, Hearst and
AccuWeather.
The Nokia Media Network launched in February with more than 100 publishers and operators and generates click-through rates sometimes reaching 10%, according to the Finnish handset
giant. Sites and advertising in the Nokia Mobile Network can be viewed on any handset, not just Nokia phones.
"These additions fortify the Nokia Media Network's reach in the United States, which
has already been a well-performing advertising network, especially for advertisers in the entertainment, automotive and mobile content sectors." said Tom Henriksson, head of Nokia Interactive
Advertising, in a statement.--Mark Walsh
