Lifetime Taps Lederman To SVP, Series Programming And Development

Four months after its entertainment president departed, Lifetime has hired another new senior programming executive. Nina Lederman, a production executive who was involved with NBC's "Will & Grace" in its early years, becomes senior vice president, series programming and development.

Lederman will report to the recently named executive vice president of entertainment, JoAnn Alfano--who took over de facto for president Susanne Daniels, who left in June after three years.

Lifetime said Lederman is an executive producer of a television remake of the 2002 film "Maid in Manhattan," which starred Jennifer Lopez and will be a pilot at ABC.

Her involvement in the series emerged from her role over the past three years as president of a production outfit headed by former Walt Disney Studios executive Joe Roth.

At NBC before her involvement with "Will & Grace," she worked in production on both the Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien late-night shows.
