Text-based social platform Twitter is looking for a few good "Twitter-ers" to fill its growing corporate ranks. That's according to a community-wide email sent out Tuesday by company co-founder Biz
Stone.
"We're hoping to hire for a bunch of new positions," Stone said in the email. The move comes at a time when other Web media and technology companies are scaling back, and
laying off staff. "We've been really busy behind the scenes these days at Twitter HQ," Stone added. "Things are moving as fast as ever, and we're growing six ways from Sunday."
Twitter recently
launched a special Search API, a Data Mining Feed, and a Pinging Service via Gnip, and has plans to introduce a way to access what the company jokingly refers to as the Twitter Firehose, or the entire
stream of tweets that are publicly available from all around the world.--Gavin O'Malley
