BSNL, India's largest telecommunications company, has tapped Content delivery systems provider Dilithium for the deployment of new mobile video and streaming services over 2G and 3G
networks.
BSNL plans to roll out Live TV services in early 2009. Petaluma, Calif.-based Dilithium has partnered with HCL Infosystems Ltd. to provide end-to-end delivery solutions for
BSNL's live mobile video services. The solution includes the Dilithium DTG 3021 multimedia gateways and the DCA video streaming solution, enabling 2-way video calling and other advanced video
services.
Dilithium pioneered 3G video communications, and its technologies are deployed by the major network operators, content owners, aggregators and equipment providers.--Gavin O'Malley
