CBS is sparking up Saturday nights, and drama "Flashpoint" returns as part of its midseason scheduling plans.
In a rare effort by a network--offering up fresh programming on the dumping ground of Saturday night--CBS will give TV producer Ashton Kutcher a shot with "Game Show in My Head" at 8 p.m.
"Game Show" is a hidden-camera game show where ordinary people must perform extraordinary and embarrassing tasks on an unsuspecting public to win up to $50,000.
CBS is also bringing back last summer's drama "Flashpoint," about a special group of cops, which had modest success. It will run on Fridays starting January 9 at 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. In addition, the network will launch a new mystery drama--"Harper's Island," which will air for 13 weeks on Thursday, starting April 9 at 10 p.m. It runs through May and June, and ends July 2. "Island" will get the big "CSI" lead-in during its run.

"Harper's Island" is about family and friends who travel to a secluded island for a multi-day wedding celebration. As the wedding festivities kick off, a murder is committed. In every episode thereafter someone is killed, until the killer is revealed at the conclusion of the series.
"Survivor"--one of the oldest network reality shows--will get its 18th edition starting Feb. 12, in its usual 8 p.m. Thursday time slot. CBS' other big reality competition effort, "Amazing Race," starts up its 14th destination race, Sunday, Feb. 15, in its usual 8 p.m. time slot.

can't they create a different type of drama besides a cop or military show? NCIS, The Unit, Cold Case, Criminal Minds, The mentalist, I know they are leading in top ten, but why are they doing overkill
