The application allows pet lovers to build a photo-realistic avatar by uploading a picture of their pet at http://petcentric.com. Visitors can choose from three different holiday songs for their dog or cat to bark or meow while accompanied by two dancing background singers. Then pet lovers can add personalized greetings, dress their pet in a fun holiday outfit and send along to friends.
This is not the first time St. Louis-based Purina has worked with Oddcast. Last year, New York-based Oddcast launched Doggie-Mail, in which hundreds of thousands of emails were sent worldwide with an average open rate of 207% and forward rate of 32%.--Tanya Irwin
