WorldWinner, Hasbro Team To Launch Online Competitions

WorldWinner and Hasbro have partnered to bring Hasbro's board game titles--Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Clue, Twister and Battleship--to an online, cash competition format.

Two years ago, Newton-Mass.-based WorldWinner launched an online adaptation of Hasbro's Scrabble game (Scrabble Cubes). WorldWinner also recently launched online cash competition versions of top-rated television game shows Family Feud, The Price Is Right, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

Beginning in 2009, the online versions of the five Hasbro games will be available as free Flash games on GSN.com, which is powered by WorldWinner. In addition, players will soon be able to test their skills for cash and prizes at www.worldwinner.com and through WorldWinner's partner sites, which include AOL Games, MSN Games and Pogo.com.--Tanya Irwin
