Fortune Brands' Forbes To Retire

Rich Forbes, president and CEO of Fortune Brands Home & Hardware, will retire by year's end 2009. Effective April 1, Christopher J. Klein, currently SVP/Strategy and Corporate Development of Fortune Brands, will become president and CEO of Home Products and report to Forbes.

As of April 1, the Moen, MasterBrand Cabinets, Therma-Tru and Simonton operations will report to Klein. John Heppner, president of the security and storage operations comprised of Master Lock and Waterloo, will continue reporting to Forbes. A search is being conducted for Klein's successor.

The Deerfield, Ill.-based Fortune Brands also owns Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc, Acushnet Company's golf brands including Titleist, Cobra and FootJoy.--Karl Greenberg
