NBC.com mobile sites made steady audience gains in 2008, according to figures released Wednesday by the network. Page views on NBC mobile sites increased to 4.2 million in December 2008, a 12-fold
increase from the year-earlier period.
Furthermore, page views increased 60% to 15.1 million between the third quarter and the fourth quarter of 2008. During the fall TV season, NBC
generated 1.8 million mobile video streams, of which 1.3 million were full episodes. More than 2.5 mobile videos were streamed last year, with shows including "Heroes," "The Office" and "SNL" proving
to be the most popular.
NBC promised further mobile innovations in 2009 including iPhone apps from "The Office" and "Heroes," as well as user blogs and more advanced commentary around NBC content
