  • LISA SEWARD has been named media director for Fallon North America. Seward was previously media director for the Minneapolis office, and will now oversee media operations for New York as well.

  • ADAM OCHS has been named Account Executive for MMT SALES Team C. Ochs joins MMT from AutoTrader, a company within the Cox organization, where he was an internet sales specialist. Prior to joining Cox, Ochs was a media buyer for regional print and radio at Levinson & Hill Advertising, and will relocate from Dallas to New York for his new position.

  • America Online has promoted DAVID RHEINS from senior vice president of marketing services to senior vice president, marketing and strategy at AOL's interactive marketing division. In the newly created position, Rheins will oversee a 24-person team responsible for developing business strategies, revenue models and products for marketers in key sectors, including personal finance, auto, packaged goods, and health. Prior to joining AOL, Rheins has held senior sales and marketing positions at Time Warner Cable, iVillage, Corbis, Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan and Spin.

  • NETexponent, a New York-based interactive direct-response marketing firm, has named JASON LERMAN Account Manager for The New York Times and other clients. Lerman’s responsibilities include account management and strategic development. Lerman previously held the position of Account Supervisor at RappDigital Direct (Rapp Collins Worldwide).

  • LARRY GLICK has been promoted to Advertising Director of Travel & Leisure Golf Magazine. Glick began his career at American Express Publishing as a Senior Account Manager at T&L Golf in 1998. He was promoted to National Travel Advertising Director in 1999 and then to Travel Advertising Director in 2000. Most recently Glick held the position of Regional Advertising Director. Before joining T&L Golf, he was the Travel Director at Bon Appetit magazine.

  • Katz Radio has named ROB MAHONEY Senior Account Executive with Katz Radio in New York, SCOTT PORRETTI as Sales Manager of Katz Radio in New York, PATRICK BLAS as Senior Account Executive with Katz Radio in Los Angeles, and EMILY HUTCHINSON as Sales Manager of Katz Radio in San Francisco. Mahoney joined Katz Radio in San Francisco in 1999 as a Sales Assistant, and in December of that year was promoted to Account Executive, and began selling in New York in February of 2000. Porretti will now co-manage Katz Radio’s New York office, which he joined in 1999 as an Account Executive in New York. In 2002, he was promoted to Sales Manager of the San Francisco office. Blas joined Katz in 1999 as a Sales Assistant, and was promoted to Account Executive, his most recent position, in 2000. Hutchinson joined Katz Media in 2000, as an Account Executive with Katz Dimensions in Los Angeles. She moved to Katz Radio in 2001, working as an Account Executive in the San Francisco office.

  • Turner Broadcasting System announced the promotions of Turner sales and sports head MARK LAZARUS and CNN president JIM WALTON to division chiefs. Also announced was the resignation of entertainment president BRAD SIEGEL. Lazarus has been named president of Turner Entertainment Group and Walton, who will keep his title as CNN News Group president, will oversee all of the company's news properties. DAVID LEVY, co-president of TBS International, will assume Lazarus' former role as president of Turner entertainment sales and marketing and sports sales.

  • DEREK ANOVICK has been named National Sales Manager for, an online media company focusing on contextual marketing. Anovick comes from, where he was a Senior Account Executive. Prior to his position with FortuneCity, Anovick was at Sx SportsMed Inc. where he was the Director of the Pro Division.

  • SANDY FERNANDEZ, has been named manager of The Sunday Source, a new feature from The Washington Post aiming to target young people. Previously, Fernandez was the editor of Teen People.

  • Fathom Online has appointed ROB MIDDLETON as Executive Vice President of Marketing. Middleton has held numerous senior management positions at agencies such as BBDO/West, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, SFI and Grey Direct. Middleton most recently served as Vice-President, Account Director at Grey Direct, and as Principal, National Media Director at SFI.

  • Tribune Media Services International (TMSI) has named PIA INGBERG to director, European operations. Ingberg will head the London-based sales office, which she joined in 1994, and prior to that had served as an advertising consultant with trade magazines Asian Retailer and Asian Hospitality.

  • TRACE magazine has named JOSEPH WILLIAMS new general manager of the magazine. The magazine also announced the appointment of KARIM ABAY as senior director of advertising. In his new position, Williams will be responsible for managing the overall profitability of the magazine and focus on finance, circulation and operations. As head of the advertising department, Abay will focus on strengthening TRACE’s position in the marketplace as a TRANSCULTURAL Style and Ideas magazine. Formerly senior account manager at Out and The Advocate magazines, and prior to that director of print sales at Silicon Alley Reporter, Abay is credited with increasing advertising revenue and successfully managing relationships with top liquor, home, high tech, and automotive clients. In his new role at TRACE, Abay looks to bring more fashion and beauty advertisers to the magazine.

  • HARRY NEUHAUS has been named vice president of sales for StarMedia, a web portal serving Spanish-speaking audiences in the Americas. Neuhaus is in charge of developing and implementing sales strategies and overseeing new business opportunities. Prior to joining StarMedia, Neuhaus worked for Latin Trade, Yahoo! Inc., MTV Networks Latin America and Turner Broadcasting System Inc.

  • THOMAS HARTMAN has been named associate publisher of Gourmet. Previously, Hartman was the Founder & CEO of PressSelect, from 2001-present. Prior to that, Hartman held positions at the Walt Disney Internet Group, DoubleClick, Condé Nast Publications, Vogue, and American Express Publishing.

  • Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey has named LAURA AHERN to the position of director of corporate marketing. Ahern’s responsibilities will include market research, marketing analytics/database marketing, advertising, and events marketing and community affairs. Ahern previously worked as associate director of customer relationship marketing at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Prior to that, she was a senior vice president and director of market information and research at Summit Bank.

  • SUZANNE MURRAY has been named Beauty editor at Organic Style magazine. Most recently, Murray was editorial manager for Sephora’s online beauty magazine. Prior to that, Murray was senior editor at Fitness Magazine.
