  • EFX Media has hired AMY SCHWAB as account executive. Prior to joining EFX Media, Schwab was marketing and public relations manager for Atlantic Video. While there, she managed promotions of Atlantic Video and supported the sales staff to gain new clients.


  • Bigfoot Interactive has named JONATHAN GUTTENBERG to the position of vice president of strategic development. In this newly created position, Guttenberg will be responsible for investigating, securing, and building strategic partnerships between Bigfoot Interactive and relevant third-party organizations.


  • Horizon Media announced several promotions within the New York Account Services group. DENNIS CAMLEK has been promoted to associate group head, MAC HAGEL has been promoted to account supervisor, GABRIELLE MAKAREVICH has been promoted to account executive and both CANDACE LIEF and ANGELA ROTHSCHILD have been promoted to junior account executives. 


  • Arbitron announced the appointment of CAROLYN CLARK as a senior account manager within the company’s National Radio Services department. Clark will be responsible for serving as the principal Arbitron contact with networks, syndicators, representative firms, and other key national accounts. Clark was director of media and agency sales at Nielsen//NetRatings.


  • Reuters.com has promoted STEVEN SCHWARTZ to senior vice president and general manager of its Investing Channel. Schwartz was formerly vice president of global business operations for Reuters.com. In this role he was responsible for new product development, site production, business development, and audience metrics.


  • Jumpstart Digital Marketing has promoted DILLON MCDONALD from vice president, dealer sales division to the newly created position of chief strategy officer.


  • Trafficmac has named MARK HERSCHBERG as vice president of engineering. Herschberg will be responsible for managing the company’s engineers and the development and implementation of the company’s new software. Until recently, he ran White Knight Consulting, providing organizational development and project management services to small companies.


  • MSNBC.com has promoted TRAVIS MCELFRESH to director of technology, where he will oversee program management, development, testing, video architecture, master control, operations, news production, and Web operations. McElfresh comes to this role from MSNBC where he was group program manager. He joined Microsoft in 2001 and has served in numerous program management positions.


  • CHRISTOPHER SWAN has been named managing director of affiliate relations at The Golf Channel. He will serve as the network’s main liaison for its present affiliate partnerships and will be responsible for seeking out and generating opportunities for increased distribution.


  • STRICK WALKER has been named president of Fort Franklin, a Boston-based agency. Walker joined Fort Franklin as an account director in 2002 from Arnold Worldwide, where he worked in account service on the agency’s "Drivers wanted." Volkswagen campaign. He began his career on Madison Avenue at Young & Rubicam managing traditional advertising for the U.S. Postal Service, Dannon, and NBC accounts.


  • Horizon Media has named SHARON HATCH as its new vice president, director of horizon out-of-home. Hatch will be responsible for overseeing all of Horizon's planning and buying responsibilities as they relate to out-of-home media. Hatch joins Horizon from MindShare's WOW Factory where she was most recently a senior partner, associate director. 


  • MEG TIPTON joined Sigma Group as senior account director. She is responsible for project management and account service functions for one of the agency’s key clients: Panasonic Computer Solutions Company's brand of Toughbook notebook and handheld PCs. Tipton joins Sigma Group with a consumer marketing background from De'Longhi and Sharp Electronics Corporation.


  • NILS PEYRON has joined McCann Erickson San Francisco as executive vice president and global brand director on the Microsoft account. Peyron succeeds HARRY CORSHAM, executive vice president and director of client services, Microsoft, who is moving to McCann's Melbourne, Australia, office to supervise the Microsoft account in that region as executive vice president and regional account director - global accounts, Asia Pacific. Peyron joins McCann from Bath & Body Works where he served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer since January 2003.


  • Ellis Entertainment has appointed LYNN VALIQUETTE to the newly created position of sales director. She will join the team led by CAROLINE GODIN, who has been promoted to head of sales. Valiquette was the director of international sales and acquisitions with Ciné Telé Action International.


  • SCOTT LAHDE has joined Deutsch as vice president, associate director of corporate communications. Lahde was most recently director of public relations with Merkley + Partners New York, and helped to grow the agency from a small boutique into a competitive mid-sized shop. Prior to that he was with Kirshenbaum Bond New York.


  • The FORTUNE Group has added AARON GALLAGHER as sales director and JOE KUTCHERA as marketing manager to the FORTUNE Group Online sales team. Gallagher was most recently a lead account manager for BusinessWeek Onlinewhere he created and sold strategic online marketing programs to companies in various industriesamong several other projects. Kutchera joins FORTUNE.com from This Old House Online where he was the marketing and business development manager.


  • ATTIK announced that RIC PERALTA, a member of its board of directors, has been named as the firm's chief executive officer. A former management consultant at KPMG and The Bechtel Group, Peralta began working with Primo Angeli Inc. in 1994.


  • Kelliher Samets Volk (KSV) has promoted JONATHAN LEONG to director of brand planning. He joined the firm in 2004, and was a senior brand planner in the agency. Prior to joining KSV, he spent five years at Cliff Freeman and Partners New York, most recently as a senior analyst working on accounts such as Staples, Fox, and Budget Rent A Car.


  • DARRYL LARUE has been appointed to the position of vice president, sales for Warner Bros. Online. LaRue will oversee Warner Bros. Online’s sales team in all aspects of external sales development, including digital brand licensing and standard media placements on the Warner Bros. Online network of Web sites. LaRue joins the company from NBC’s owned and operated TV stations division where he served as director of interactive sales.


  • Starmark International has named SKIP POLLARD as vice president, director of media strategy.


  • ImpreMedia has named MARY ZERAFA as corporate director of marketing. Previously, Zerafa was director of La Opinion Digital, responsible for strategic development and the day-to-day operations of the site including content development, marketing, sales, and information technology.
