Havas Taps Vin Farrell As Global CCO

Vin-Farrell-B

Havas Worldwide has tapped Vin Farrell as global chief content officer, a new position at the agency. It’s the latest in a series of management and organizational moves that the agency, formerly known as Euro RSCG, has made in recent months.

Farrell, who starts April 8, is tasked with global oversight of content creation, curation, development, production and distribution.

Farrell will report to Andrew Benett, who just joined the agency in January as global president. Benett stated that “with the addition of the chief content officer role, we're enhancing our creative and digital offering, and further establishing our credentials as an industry leader in digital and with expertise in content."

Farrell joins Havas Worldwide from Interpublic Group digital agency R/GA, where he was senior vice president of creative operations. At R/GA, Farrell is credited with having helped build and manage the global integration and output of the agency’s digital studio, experiential, retail and presentation design capabilities.

Prior to R/GA, Farrell was senior director of content and integrated marketing production at SpikeTV.com. Earlier, he held a production post at Digitas.

Farrell’s post is the second new senior management role Benett has created since his arrival at the agency. Earlier, he promoted Sarita Bhatt to director of global strategy. She will work with the network’s global clients to help shape their digital and social-marketing strategies and creative approaches.

Benett arrived at Havas Worldwide in early January after serving as global CEO at sibling agency Arnold Worldwide.  He took over day-to-day management duties of the agency from David Jones, who remains global CEO and CEO of parent company Havas.
