Pincus Joins GroupM Entertainment

Adam Pincus has been appointed to the newly created position of executive vice president, programming and production for GroupM Entertainment North America.

Pincus will be based in New York and report to Peter Tortorici, Global CEO GroupM Entertainment.

Pincus is tasked with overseeing all programming development and production for GME’s North American television and digital content. He will also be involved in creative oversight and the development of new financing models, per the company.

Pincus joins GME from GroupM media shop MediaCom where he served as a managing partner and director of the agency’s branded entertainment unit, MediaCom Beyond Advertising (MBA). 

Prior to joining MediaCom, Pincus owned his own production company, Hour One, where he executive produced Nimrod Nation, an eight-part series for the Sundance Channel for which he received a  Peabody Award. 

Earlier Pincus worked as senior vice president, on-air, original programming & new media at Sundance, where he developed and executive produced numerous series and specials. He started his career at Viacom.

Tortorici said Pincus is a “seasoned entertainment executive with all the skills necessary to make a valuable contribution to our division as we continue to grow and develop new opportunities for our clients.”
