    Initiative
    Initiative scored three wins in China this month, adding Intel China, Pfizer and Grupo Bimbo to its list of clients. Initiative bested Ogilvy Digital and OMD for the Intel China account. The agency will manage Intel China's full service digital campaign assignment, including creative and Web site development. Pfizer awarded its account to Initiative following a three-way pitch against Dentsu and Zenith. Initiative will handle Pfizer's media strategy, planning and buying services nationally in China. Lastly, bakery Grupo Bimbo tapped Initiative to handle its media strategy, planning and buying services in China. Initiative beat MPG for the account. Total spending is $20 million.

    LVMH placed its U.S. media account in review, valued at $185 million. Mediacom currently handles the account.
  • White Castle
    Zimmerman
    Zimmerman has been tapped by White Castle to handle creative and media duties, previously handled by JWT and Mindshare, respectively. The account is valued at $20 million.
  • California Tobacco Control Program
    In Review
    The California Tobacco Control Program is issuing an RFP on or about March 18 for its $20 million annual advertising campaign to raise awareness in California about the dangers of tobacco use and secondhand smoke. The account runs roughly from September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2012. Two optional one-year extensions may be approved. Ground Zero Advertising currently handles the account. A voluntary Bidders' Conference will be held on April 2nd in Sacramento at the California Department of Public Health; first submission requirements are due April 16th.

    Buell Motorcycle Company named Crispin Porter + Bogusky as its advertising agency of record. The account was previously handled by Laughlin Constable.

    Lee Jeans tapped OLSON Minneapolis as its interactive agency of record. The agency will launch www.lee.com in April.

    Horizon Media was awarded media buying and planning chores for Modell's Sporting Goods. It was previously handled by multiple agencies. The account is estimated at $5 million.

    Leo Burnett and Seed Strategy
    Leo Burnett and Seed Strategy were awarded Silk Soymilk's advertising account, valued at $30 million. Berlin Cameron United previously handled the account.

    Zig was named digital agency of record in Canada for AXE. The agency will handle strategy, creative and development of all digital initiatives for AXE Deodorant, Body Wash and Hair Care, as well as handling overall digital strategy for the AXE master brand in Canada.

    Global Advertising Strategies and OYKU
    The Turkish Tourism Board awarded Global Advertising Strategies and Turkish-based agency OYKU its North American Tourism campaign.

    Levelwing Media has been retained by the Conservatives for Patients' Rights to handle media execution and delivery on its multi-million dollar effort aimed at health care reform. Spending is estimated at $5 million - $20 million.

    LevLane was awarded media and promotion duties for the Lake Champlain KFC Advertising Co-op in Burlington, VT. The Lake Champlain Co-op includes ten locations in western Vermont and northeastern New York State. The account budget is less than $1 million. The agency already manages five other KFC regional co-op accounts in Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and Florida.
