Business Insider chronicles the decline of app maker Evernote. “Despite reaching 150 million registered users this year, Evernote has been slow to develop the revenue side of its business and is grappling with departures and cost-cutting,” BI writes, citing sources. Worse yet, “Evernote has laid off roughly 18% of its workforce in the past nine months, and said it will shut down three of its 10 global offices last week.”    

Ready or not, consumers are about to get a Yelp-like review app for people. Named Peeple, “When the app does launch, probably in late November, you will be able to assign reviews and one- to five-star ratings to everyone you know,” The Washington Post writes. Heaven help us all.
