The California Tobacco Control Program is issuing an RFP on or about March 18 for its $20 million annual advertising campaign to raise awareness in California about the dangers of tobacco use and
secondhand smoke. The account runs roughly from September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2012. Two optional one-year extensions may be approved. Ground Zero Advertising currently handles the account. A
voluntary Bidders' Conference will be held on April 2nd in Sacramento at the California Department of Public Health; first submission requirements are due April 16th.
