What exactly is a smart phone? Good question asked by mobile panel moderator Steve Smith. The answers were revealing.
Rhythm Media’s Ujjal Kohli thinks it’s a “laptop compressed into the palm of your hand.â€
Nokia’s Jeremy Wright agreed with that sentiment.
MS&L’s Webster Lerwin kind of felt the “key feature in my mind is email.â€
For BrandInHand’s Dan Flanegan, it’s the “mobile Web.â€
But in my opinion, Genex’s Walter Schild gave the best answer: “With our clients we refer more to users than to devices. If someone is going to use the device for more than phone calls.â€
“So, it’s smart users, not smart phones,†moderator Steve Smith surmised.
