Gawkk.com is launching a video-sharing Web site that works like a "Twitter for videos." Users can watch, share and discuss videos from around the Web with their friends by answering the simple
question: What are you watching?
The New York-based company is expected to announce the new site Wednesday at Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco.
Gawkk utilizes a video discovery
engine to incorporate video from thousands of media sources across the Internet, but users also can add a video from any Web site and then share and discuss it with friends and followers on Gawkk.
"By combining a powerful video discovery engine with a social messaging platform, Gawkk provides a simple and effective resource for finding and discussing the most interesting videos from around the
Web, right now," said Gary Culliss, CEO and founder of Gawkk.com. "With Gawkk, there's finally a great way to easily discover and share videos with your friends."--Tanya Irwin
