Digital Transition: Only 3.2% Unprepared

tvWith two months to go, the digital transition continues across America. At present, there are now 3.6 million or 3.2% of U.S. television households that are completely unprepared for digital transition.

According to Nielsen, there has been a 2% improvement in households as of April 12 from March 29, and a 4% gain since March 15. There are just nine weeks until the analog to digital transition takes place June 12.

Back on March 1, 3.9 million households were unprepared; on February 15, there were 4.4 million unprepared. Back on December 21, there were 6.8 million households unprepared.

The biggest percentage of homes that are unprepared are African-American homes, at 5.9%. This is followed by Hispanic homes at 5.4%; Asian TV homes at 4.3% and white TV households at 2.5%.
