Comcast Corp. and McAfee Inc. are launching the Cyber Summer Safety Challenge, with a goal of having one million kids and parents talk about Internet safety.
"With school out and
more free time on their hands this summer, teens' and kids' online activity can increase -- so it's important to provide parents and their children with tips and tools to stay safe while they are
online," said Jay Opperman, senior director of security and privacy for Comcast, in a statement.
Two versions of the challenge -- one for kids and one for teens -- cover everything from the
basics of using the Internet to posting information on social networking sites. --Aaron Baar
