'America's Got Talent' Gets Big Results

America's Got Talent NBC's "America's Got Talent" has given advertisers some crumbs of network programming predictability so far this summer -- improving its results as the highest-rated network show.

NBC's 9 p.m. competition show delivered a healthy Nielsen preliminary 3.7 rating/11 share among 18-49 viewers, up half a ratings point from the week before, which earned a 3.2/10 in its premiere outing. Even the repeat of the show's first episode at 8 p.m. on Tuesday took in a summer-worthy 2.3/8.

Running against it at 9 p.m., ABC's new "The Superstars" -- a sports competition/celebrity show -- couldn't keep pace, mustering less than half "Talent"'s results with a 1.3/4. "Superstars" declined from its premiere episode.

NBC's "Talent" is now the summer's biggest-rated show so far. Fox's "So You Can Think You Can Dance?" is still offering strong results, moving to second place with a recent 2.9/9. Right behind "Dance" is ABC's 2.8/9 with "Wipeout," a better-performing sports competition show than "Superstars."

Univision came next with a 1.5/5; ABC could only get to a 1.1/3; Fox (running the movie "Legally Blonde") had a 1.0/3; and CW drifted in with a 0.3/1. CW's "Hitched or Ditched" took on a ditched-like series finale 0.4/1 among 18-49 and 18-34 viewers.
