Hallmark Channel is broadening its event programming by acquiring cable rights to several star-studded ice-skating specials. They will all premiere in the fourth quarter of 2009 and the first quarter
of 2010. The specials kick off with the premiere of "Halloween on Ice," Oct. 30. The initiative is the first holiday in the "Hallmark Channel Holiday Countdown" campaign -- a cross-platform effort
that will address major annual holidays throughout the year.
