Truth, the smoking prevention campaign for youth, is running a month-long outreach tour to seven states. The effort, funded by the Centers for Disease Control, extends the summer tour to cities and
rural areas in select states. The grassroots effort focused at events features a crew of youngadults who educate them about the health effects and social consequences of tobacco use.
The tour
will visit cities and rural areas in New Mexico, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Kansas and Maine.
Crew members will also hand out tote bags, bracelets, and a signature fall tour t-shirt
emblazoned with messages about tobacco use and the tobacco industry.
The www.thetruth.com Web site will feature the crew members' video blogs and photos from the field, upcoming events and
updates from tour stops.
Starting in November, the truth campaign will run advertising in cinemas, and radio advertising featuring the latest truth® campaign will be aired in select states.
