ABC's rep firm, which steers national advertisers to a variety of local properties, from taxi screens in New York to signs in the Baltimore baseball stadium, has a deal to sell inventory for a Comcast-owned regional sports network (RSN) in Philadelphia.

ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment has sold time to national advertisers for two other Comcast RSNs in other regions. The latest arrangement gives it exclusive rights to sell national inventory for the network, as well as Web sites affiliated with the Philadelphia pro basketball and hockey teams and the facility they play in. Package deals are expected, the ABC unit said.

The Comcast-Spectacor unit continues with local sales; its Senior Vice President Joe Croce stated that the arrangement "enables us to increase our ability to attract national advertisers who want to promote their products" in Philadelphia.

The network, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, carries games for the Philadelphia 76ers and Flyers and Phillies in Major League Baseball.

Through its relationship with ABC's national TV sales, ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment Sales looks to offer that group's pool of clients local opportunities, such as a presence on screens in New York taxi cabs, large signs in Times Square and in-stadium signage.
