Chrysler Posts Sales, Offers New Incentive Program

  • January 5, 2010
Chrysler says its U.S. sales increased 36% in December compared with November 2009 and that 11 of its vehicles increased sales versus the month last year.

Chrysler Group sold 86,523 new vehicles last month, constituting 4% less volume than in December last year. For the full year, Chrysler posted sales of 931,402 vehicles, a 36% decline versus 2008. The company, which in the past has had a tough time with dealer inventory, says December inventory was down 55% to a healthy 58-day supply.

The automaker says it is launching a new 0% financing program for almost all 2010 model-year vehicles and the expansion of its "Invest in America" partnership with more than 90 million Credit Union members in the United States.

The Credit Union member-preferred pricing program has been expanded to include all 2010 model-year vehicles. The incentives are valid through March 1.--Karl Greenberg
