Still Hot: 'Bachelor' Gets Great Reception

The ABC reality show's 14th season premiere Jan. 4 drew the franchise's best young adult rating since 2007. "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" averaged a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating from 8 to 10 p.m., according to Nielsen overnights, up 6 percent over last year's 3.1. It marked the show's highest-rated debut in four cycles, drawing 9.5 million total viewers.

It was no doubt helped by the revival of the franchise last year, when bachelor Jason set off a blogosphere bomb by dumping fiancé Melissa for runner-up Molly in a post-finale special. Since then, Melissa became a celeb in her own right, nearly winning "Dancing with the Stars" and getting married last month to a new fiancé.
