HSBC Expands Airport Branding to LAX

  • January 13, 2010
HSBC Bank USA has added Los Angeles International Airport to the company's global airport branding strategy.

As part of a five-year agreement, the HSBC brand is featured prominently across the interior and exterior of 17 jet bridges at the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, the seventh-busiest airport in the world, with more than 59 million travelers last year.

The interior of the jet bridges displays HSBC's "Values" campaign, which illustrates that only by understanding peoples' values can HSBC better meet their needs.

Jet bridge advertising is a concept pioneered by the HSBC Group and launched at London's Heathrow Airport in 2001 and is now at 50 airports in 23 countries around the world including Sydney, Beijing, Shanghai, New York, London, Athens and Tokyo. U.S. and Canada locations include John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia International Airport in New York, Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, Toronto Pearson International Airport, Vancouver International Airport and Miami International Airport.

HSBC Bank USA and HSBC Bank Canada's airport branding campaign reaches approximately 200 million North American fliers annually. --Tanya Irwin
