Tequila Patrón Expands Le Mans Sponsorship

  • March 4, 2010
Tequila Patrón has announced that it will be the "presenting" sponsor for the American Le Mans Series, representing the highest-tiered corporation sponsorship in the series' history.

Patrón initially joined as a corporate marketing partner in 2008, and continues to be the official spirit of the series. It has also been involved with several teams in the series -- including current sponsorship of the new Extreme Speed Motorsports team -- and with the branding of its California races at Long Beach and Monterey's Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Under the expanded presenting sponsorship, the brand's long list of exposure opportunities include a redesigned Club Patrón facility at Sebring, VIP hospitality hosting at all 2010 events, and having the series' paddock named the "Tequila Patrón Paddock."

In Round Two of the Series, the April 17 event in Long Beach, Calif., will be titled the "Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series at Long Beach, and Round 3 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca will also bear the spirit's name. The May 22 event will be dubbed "the American Le Mans Series Monterey presented by Tequila Patrón."

In addition, Road Atlanta's Petit Le Mans has designated the brand as its official spirit. Tequila Patrón will participate in post-race podium ceremonies for these races.--Karlene Lukovitz
