With Easter just around the corner, it's time for Macy's to launch its annual Flower Show, and this year's version -- themed "Spring Is In The Air" -- will include the Herald Square flagship store in
New York, as well as Center City in Philadelphia, State Street in Chicago, Downtown Minneapolis and Union Square in San Francisco.
Shows will run for two weeks, and feature a total of
35,000 varieties of flowers, plants and trees from around the world. The retailer says giant bugs, biplanes and kites will hover above indoor gardens. A Hot Air Balloon garden will be the gateway in
each store, with a lavishly planted basket, adorned with a pattern inspired by The Martha Stewart Collection. In-store events will include fashion shows, cooking demonstrations and celebrity
appearances.--Sarah Mahoney
