Perfectly capturing the bluntness of the HBO series Hung, this takeover ad falls on users' screens like a tree hitting the forest floor. What it lacks in moving parts, it more than makes up for in direct impact. Unsuspecting views come face-to-face with a large, high-resolution image of a horizontal and shirtless Ray Drecker - the show's infamously endowed protagonist - being straddled by a faceless gal pal. "Provocative and unexpected," is how affiliated agency Trailer Park describes the campaign. To that we'd add memorable and - particularly for the ad's male-skewed target audience - highly enviable.
