Bing sponsored free downloads of the $1.99 app "Top 100's By Year" to entice users to download
Bing's primary search app. This fun music app allows users to listen to the top 100 hits from 1946 to 2010 in random order. It also continues to promote the use of Bing throughout, by enabling users
to search for lyrics and artist information without interrupting their listening experiences. The app achieved over two million downloads in its first month and propelled the primary Bing app to the
top spot at a per-download cost.
