New Rhythms: Univision Debuts New Música Site

Musica-Univision

Univision is launching a new digital music site called Música -- a smart move, given that 69% of Univision.com users, per the company, claim that "music is an important part of my life."

The site is part of Univision Interactive Media, Inc., the digital division of Univision Communications, the big Spanish-language media company.

With more exclusive content and all-access to favorite artists and unique tools, the new site (www.UnivisionMusica.com) will offer passionate Hispanic music fans a seamless experience to engage with relevant and exclusive content across online and mobile.

The site features hundreds of artist pages, videos, photos and a "song lyrics tool" that allows users to search more than 145,000 songs. There are over 200 artist forums and the ability to listen to more than 40 Univision Radio stations. Artists ranging from Diana Reyes to Enrique Inglesias to Nelly Furtado are a click away.

Kevin Conroy, president of Univision Interactive Media, said: "Our new interactive offerings and exclusive music content -- like our new, originally produced intimate music series -- will provide a great experience that will engage our online and mobile audience more than ever before."

At the same time, the company is using the site debut to introduce a new show, "Univision In Studio," which features sessions with new artists. Each music event will feature several songs and a fan question-and-answer session.
