Walmart Gives $10 Million To Veterans Groups

Walmart says it is introducing a five-year, $10 million commitment to improving the employment outlook of veterans.

The Bentonville, Ark.-based company, and its Walmart Foundation, says the funds will be used to support nonprofits "that assist our veterans in their pursuit of higher education and enable them to more easily reintegrate into civilian life."

Walmart says 250,000 veterans were unemployed as of March 2010, and that it is one of the leading employers of vets.
