To mark National Cupcake Day on Dec. 15, the MaggieMoo's Ice Cream and Treatery chain will, between the hours of 3 and 7 pm (while supplies last), give a free ice cream cupcake sample to customers who bring in a canned goods donation. 

Participating MaggieMoo's restaurants will in turn donate all canned goods received to food banks in their local markets.

MaggieMoo's claims to have invented the ice cream cupcake (as well as the ice cream pizza and a number of specialty ice cream flavors.  Its franchise concept is owned by strategic brand management company Global Franchise Group, which also owns the American Cookies, Marlbel Slab Creamery, Pretzelmaker and Pretzel Time QSR franchise concepts and retail franchise concepts TAF and Shoebox New York.
