Gold's Gym, 'Fitness' Effort Urges: 'You Can Do It'

GymThe search engine Bing predicts that based on the popularity of Internet search terms, the top New Year's resolution for 2011 will once again be to eat better and exercise more in an effort to shed excess pounds.

Gold's Gym has designed a workout especially for Fitness magazine readers just in time for the onslaught of those weight loss/workout resolutions.

Through a partnership in support of Fitness magazine's "You Can Do It!" program, readers will be able to receive an exclusive workout designed by a Gold's Gym celebrity trainer, a seven-day VIP membership to Gold's Gym and a personal fitness consultation from a personal trainer at the participating Gold's Gym of their choice.

The magazine's 7.3 million-plus readers will learn about the program in the January issue. Readers can sign up for the program at fitnessmagazine.com/slimdown through Jan. 31.

Enrollment includes the ability to download an exclusive workout from Gold's Gym Fitness Institute expert Adam Friedman. Friedman has worked with some of the top athletes and celebrities in Hollywood, and has created a unique workout that readers can perform at the gym or at home. The workout is designed to target all areas of the body and can help serve as a road map for people looking to spice up their workout routines, says Lisa Zoellner, chief marketing officer of Gold's Gym.

"By working with Fitness to provide a cutting-edge workout and a physical home where their readers can stay fit and get advice, we're hoping to help even more people reach their fitness goals this year," Zoellner says in a statement.

Once readers register for the workout and diet plan on fitnessmagazine.com, they will also be able to download a free 7-day membership to the Gold's Gym of their choice. They can bring the workout in to any participating Gold's Gym to have a certified personal trainer demonstrate the moves of the workout.

Previous to the partnership with Gold's, more than 1.2 million women have used the multiplatform "You Can Do It" program to reach their better-body goals, according to the magazine.

Gold's previously partnered with Us Weekly in March for the 1st Annual "Hollywood's Hottest Bodies" awards, which recognize outstanding fitness achievement in television, film and entertainment. As part of that promotion, the magazine featured Gold's Gym celebrity trainers Ramona Braganza and Mike Ryan in one of its issues.
